Warcraft Guilds, worth it in the begining or the end ?

I recently left a guild and joined another one that is raiding at level 70. Many of the guilds you start with may not be the ones you are with at level 70. Once you hit level 70 your priorities change. You want to do high level raiding with other level 70s. Do quests with other level 70s. As I said above, I recently left a guild called Templars. This guild is ok, but mostly made up of alts and some level 70s. It kinda felt like they needed the guild officer power than be in a raiding guild. Does this guild plan on raiding at level 70 ? That was the question I was asking myself the whole time I was with the Templars. My druid my main is gonna be raiding , well thats the plan anyways. I left the Templars to make friends in a new guild that would be ready to raid when I hit 70. I joined a recently new guild, but made up of 70s. They have like 22 level 70s the last time I checked. Is that enough to do some 70 raid content. Yes, we can do karazhan which is a 10 man instance. The higher raids require more people. 25 man raids are hard for some guilds because they lose the player base. Not enough people.

Here is the list of new lvl 70 content:

Azeroth Raids

10-man:

  • Karazhan
25 man:
  • The Battle of Mount Hyjal

Outland Raids

25-man:

  • Gruul's Lair
  • Magtheridon's Lair
  • Serpentshrine Cavern
  • The Eye
  • Black Temple

Future Release Raids

  • Zul'Aman

Why do people leave guilds ? Is it to get more loot. The loot they want instead of fighting over with other people within the guild. If your a guild officer and your putting a group together your going to want the people with the best gear. If you have 14 level 70s. There is one pally that you always raid with out of the 5 left over but there is another pally that really wants to go. Do you pick the pally that has never been in a raid or do you pick the one that has mostly the epics on and you know that you will hardly fail with him\her by your side. If you don't pick the other pally that doesn't have any epics, you will probably hurt his or her feelings and probably go else were and left the guild. Some people might say he/she is a baby for leaving but you have to remember those people probably have epics and are picked to go week after week. Its just difficult to give everyone a fair chance at raiding if they are to far behind the guild, who wants to give a guy in greens or blues a chance to raid where everyone has epics.

Thing is you have to remember who you will need when you get to Gruuls lair where you will need more people to attend. If that person doesn't get on anymore cause when he did he couldn't raid anyway. I guess its kinda of a catch 22.

Well thats my .02 on that. later.

Yahtzee, Good game or wasted space ?

Now on to another game that I've played recently. Something simple, but yet fun. Yahtzee the real arcade edition. Its something to play for a while anyway. You can play more than one person, but on the same machine. Not sure if it has Internet play or not. I never looked at those options. Its has a lot of features if you just want to play a simple game of Yahtzee. Bad side is its gonna cost 19.99 unless you have a game pass then its cheaper. It does give you 60 minutes of game time, but when you play Yahtzee whats 60 minutes, 2 games. I guess it does offer you enough time to try out the full functionality of it. So you can decide if you want to spend the 20 bucks or not. Its Fun, give it a shot. If not buy it, but at least play for 60 minutes :) .

Under development: Space Siege

According to my title of my blog I really would like to report only on games that I've or you have played. Since this game hasn't been released I doubt anyone has played it, but the developers inside of Gas Powered Games. Their new recently made public game called Space Siege. Its still in development so we shouldn't make any suggestions about the game, but I'm not sure about it. I'm not even sure if I will continue to post about it. Its due for released in 2008. Its pretty fast for a game they just let out to the media. Some developers are not a real good example for informing the media of its projects. It either takes years or they don't even end up releasing the final product.

A long time ago I developed a website for the original dungeon siege. The game was released back either in 2000 or 2001 don't remember now. Well the site became popular , too popular without funding I was forced to shut it down. My host was going to charge me 300.00 a month to host it. I started the site for a hobby and it turned into something much more. I enjoyed the site, but 300.00 a month is kinda high for something that isn't bringing in some form of cash.

I guess this is why I took the time to blog this game. It was the first I've heard of it. It might be good, to early to tell.

Rate: 3/10 ( right now anyway )

Blog and Changes

As you can tell I've made a few changes to the blog. Instead of making posts about wow the game I've been playing and about the level of my character. It is now posted in the right hand corner of the site. I'm modified the labels, using cloud labels. I changed the color which I may do more frequently. I also removed the top blogger bar. Its not that I don't like the bar, its just it makes the site kinda unprofessional. I may put it back, not sure yet. Probably see a few more changes every once in awhile. Besides its good to change a few things here and there. I may also try to cover different material as well.

Added a few links as well to other modification blog sites.

Games, self made goals

Everyone has a goal when they first start playing a game either on the pc , xbox, ps2 , ps3 or whatever type of machine they have. Once you reach that goal do you continue to play that game ?

It seems I'm running to this more and more with World of Warcraft. I started playing the game when it was in beta and continued playing after the release of it. It was the most exciting time. Playing something new, experiencing something different. New areas killing new things. I first created a Troll Mage ( during beta I had a Night Elf Druid) . Casting time kinda bothered me when a Shaman walked up to another mob and killed it in a few seconds when I would still be attempting to cast my spell. I was like damn. So shortly after that I created a Shaman. Played my Shaman for awhile probably a few days was having problems knowing where to go to level my character. I missed the change of forms kinda thing so I made a Druid. Well anyway to make a long story a little shorter. I seem to have a goal with each of my characters. I have so many I would be playing the game until 2010 to get them all to level 70 if that was my end goal. Usually level 70 isn't my main goal, its a thing that if it happens it happens. I recently created a Priest. I always wanted to try shadow form and since the expansion I wanted to try the new Draeni Mounts. So I got her to level 44 and stopped. I leveled her quite fast since I have leveled many characters in the past and now know where to go for quests and what areas. Once I obtained my goal with my priest I moved on to Phylum, my Druid. Phylum is level 55 almost 56 now I was able to play a little bit last night. My goal with this character is to possibly raid, but my main goal is to fly at 68. I've wanted to fly ever since the expansion was released. I guess my second goal with Phylum is to get a netherdrake a new flying mount in-game ( see pic ). So will I get to 68 and stop ? or will I continue on and get my netherdrake and possibly raid at 70? Only time will tell..

Inselkampf

I've been playing this game called inselkampf. Its kinda interesting if you like playing RTS games on the pc or mac. You basically start off with a lvl 1 main house and have to build everything up from there while collecting resources. This game takes time to do anything, time I mean hours to upgrade buildings collect resources. It will probably take a few weeks before you can start building anything serious if you constantly are building something. You can pay like 20 bucks a year for a XLT service. This service allows you to que things so You don't have to watch it all the time. You basically just que what you need and let it do its thing. You can get ahead of someone that is just doing upgrades or building armies just when he or she thinks about it. Its a fun game though if your bored at work or have nothing else better todo. There are different versions of it, so play what you like version 2 is alittle different than version 1. http://www.inselkampf.com/ . You can also pick a different language if your not very good with english. Have fun, its just a game.
